The Lornie Park Connector is a 1.76 km green corridor established to serve as an ecological buffer and recreational trail. The multi-tiered rainforest acts as a natural buffer, protecting the forest edge and supporting the habitat of native wildlife.
Today, one is able to see a good variety of butterflies as they emerge from the forests of MacRitchie Reservoir. They include uncommon to rare butterflies such as Dark Banded Ace, Hieroglyphic Flat, Royal Assyrian, Great Helen, Great Imperial, Ambon Onyx, Horsfield’s Baron, Cruiser, Knight, Commander, Fluffy Tit, The Quaker, Elbowed Pierrot, Painted Jezebel, Common Rose, Common Birdwing.
