DESCRIPTION:   \nOpen to the Public \nJoin Master D’ Imaging × Alan Photo for an introductory bird photography workshop exploring how to get the most out of OM SYSTEM equipment for birding. Led by experienced bird photographer and OM SYSTEM Ambassador Martin Leung\, the session will cover the fundamentals of bird photography\, OM SYSTEM’s advantages for birding\, including its 2x crop advantage and Bird Detection AF\, as well as different camera bodies and telephoto lenses. Participants will also learn practical camera setups for perched birds\, birds-in-flight and challenging environments\, followed by tips on field workflow and preparation. \nFacilitator: Martin Leung (OM SYSTEM Ambassador) \nMartin Leung’s fascination with wildlife began in childhood\, inspired by nature documentaries\, and grew into a passion for photography and storytelling during his university years. Based in Singapore\, Martin photographs the island’s parks\, nature reserves and green corridors\, focusing on showcasing the often-overlooked biodiversity within one of the world’s most urbanised countries. \nBeyond his photography\, Martin leads wildlife tours and photowalks\, helping others discover wildlife in their own neighbourhoods while promoting appreciation for local biodiversity and conservation. SUMMARY:Butterfly Walk at Springleaf Nature Park
DESCRIPTION:   Open to the Public Join us in exploring Springleaf Nature Park\, a buffer to the nearby Central Catchment Nature Reserve. The relatively harder to spot Grey Pansy is commonly seen there\, flying and mating close to the greenery by the river’s edge. Happily two other attractive pansies – Blue and Peacock – were also sighted there. Other rarer butterflies spotted there include Ambon Onyx\, Scarce Silverstreak\, Banded Royal\, Dark Tit\, Sumatran Sunbeam\, Green Baron\, Chequered Lancer\, Common Red Flash\, Centaur Oakblue\, Copper Flash\, Common Bush Hopper\, Hoary Palmer\, Ancyra Blue\, Palm King\, Moore’s Ace\, Yellow Palm Dart.
