NSS, Marine Conservation Group for September's talk held in conjunction
with the International Coastal Cleanup, a global movement to combat
marine trash. Join us to learn more about the significance of marine
debris!
Do you know the difference between marine trash and other trash? Did
you know that there is a patch of plastic waste three times the size of
France in the Pacific Ocean called the Great Pacific Garbage Patch? Did
you know that marine waste can come from both land and water sources?
Have you heard about plastic from marine waste entering our food chain
and potable water?
Join
our passionate volunteers as they share their learning experiences with
marine debris and their contribution to cleaning up the coastlines of
Singapore. Learn a little bit of the history of marine trash including
the surprising variety of items found and understand why and how you can
make a difference…for every piece of litter counts.
