Join NSS, Marine Conservation Group for September's talk held in conjunction with the International Coastal Cleanup, a global movement to combat marine trash. Join us to learn more about the significance of marine debris!

Do you know the difference between marine trash and other trash? Did you know that there is a patch of plastic waste three times the size of France in the Pacific Ocean called the Great Pacific Garbage Patch? Did you know that marine waste can come from both land and water sources? Have you heard about plastic from marine waste entering our food chain and potable water?

Join our passionate volunteers as they share their learning experiences with marine debris and their contribution to cleaning up the coastlines of Singapore. Learn a little bit of the history of marine trash including the surprising variety of items found and understand why and how you can make a difference…for every piece of litter counts.
