Open to the Public - Registration needed - Priority to NSS Members and ESN Schools
While
life has slowed down over the past two to three months, our garden
city's wild plants have thrived, and many of us have noticed and admired
the sheer abundance and diversity of wild flowers that have sprung up
around us in the urban environment. Join us on a virtual walk to
discover some of the wild flowers that can be found growing in our
neighbourhoods -- before the grasscutters come! We will introduce some
common species, and interesting facts that you might not know about
them.
Join Louise as she takes us on a wildflower walk through a
typical neighbourhood. She will be joined online by NSS Plant Group
members, Anuj Jain, Bian Tan and Shawn Lum.
Presenter
Louise
Neo is the co-author of Wayside Flowers of Singapore, a photographic
guide book to some of the wild flowers that can be found in our urban
city state. She is a young promising botanist who is dedicated and
committed to botanical research and has written numerous scientific
papers about Singapore's flora.
