Birdwatching at Kranji Marshes - REGISTRATION IS FULL

Location : Meet Lim Kim Chuah at 7.30 am at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve Visitor Centre coach bay at Kranji Way. Reachable by Bus 925 (bus stop 49219) from Kranji MRT station.

Open to the Public - Registration Needed

This walk is offered in collaboration with NParks.  We will explore part of the new broadwalk, paths and hides which will give us excellent views across the Kranji Marshes.  Birding highlights include the Red-wattled Lapwing, Purple Swamphen, Common Moorhen, Yellow Bittern, White-browed Crake, Changeable Hawk Eagle and Grey-headed Fish Eagle.  The walk will last about 3 hours.  We will be in the open with minimal shade throughout.  Please ensure adequate sun protection (hat, long sleeves, sun-block), wear comfortable walking/trekking shoes and bring water and light snacks as well as a poncho or rain-coat in case of sudden wet weather.

This walk will be cancelled if there is lightning or rain.

Note:  Registration will close once the target number is reached.  All registrations are subject to confirmation and successful registrants will be notified by email.

This walk is free of charge however each participant will need to pay $10 per person (if paid by cheque to NSS office or funds transfer to NSS account no: DBS 0339023574) or $11 per person (if paid via PayPal) to cover transport cost.  

A hired bus will ferry us from Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve to the start point of our walk at Turut Track and at the end of the walk, the same bus will bring the group back to Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve with a final drop-off at Kranji MRT station.
