Open to the Public - Registration Needed to Attend
Meet Wong Chung Cheong (chungcheong.wong@ gmail.com) at 7.30 am beside Popeye Restaurant at Tebing Lane off Punggol East.
This walk starts at the Punggol Promenade. For years, Little Grebes have made their home at Lorong Halus, an old rubbish dump site. Grassland species like the Yellow-bellied Prinia, Munias, Baya Weaver, Long-tailed Shrike and more thrive here. In 2011, PUB completed works to create Lorong Halus Wetland to help purify water that flows through the former dump site. Join us for an enjoyable morning of sights and sounds presented by these birds. NSS Kids attending the walk with their parents will have a dedicated kids guide.
Registration: Please register by 19 July 2013 on our website.
Getting There: You can take the MRT to Punggol station and transfer to the LRT. Alight at Riviera LRT station and stroll towards the meeting point.
Max: 30 pax.
