By accessing "NSS Nature Forum" (hereinafter "we", "us", "our", "the Forum"), which is located at "http://www.nss.org.sg/forum", you agree to be legally bound by the following terms (hereinafter the Terms). If you do not agree to be legally bound by the Terms then please do not access and/or use "the Forum".
We may update or amend the Terms at any time and we will do our best to inform you of these changes. However, we shall not be responsible for ensuring that you are at all times familiar with the Terms including all changes that may be made from time to time. For the avoidance of doubt you hereby agree to be legally bound by the Terms as they are updated and/or amended. In the circumstances, it would be prudent for you to regularly review the Terms to ensure that you are familiar with them.
The Forum is powered by phpBB which is a bulletin board solution released under the "General Public License" (hereinafter "GPL") and can be downloaded from www.phpbb.com. The phpBB software only facilitates internet based discussions and phpBB are not responsible for what we allow and/or disallow as permissible content and/or conduct. a) You agree not to post any material (including photographs) which is abusive, obscene, vulgar, libelous, slanderous, hateful, threatening or sexually-suggestive in nature.
b) You agree not to post any comment or use any language which is abusive, obscene, vulgar, libelous, slanderous, hateful, threatening or sexually-suggestive in nature.
c) You agree not to post any comment that causes embarrassment, suggests wrongdoing or challenges the achievements, credentials and professionalism of any other person or legal entity.
d) You agree not to post any comment or material that may cause you or the Nature Society (Singapore) (herenafter NSS) to be in breach of any national or international law. For the avoidance of doubt, such laws shall include the law of your country, the law of the country where the Forum is hosted and the law as set out in international conventions.
e) Should we, at our absolute discretion feel, that you have breached the conditions stipulated in paragraphs a) to d) above we shall take steps to ban you from the Forum and notify your Internet Service Provider if we deem that to be necessary. The IP addresses of all posts are recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions.
f) You agree that we have the right to remove or edit any post or comment and move or close any topic at any time should we see fit. Whilst we may take such steps either to effectively manage the discussion or to remove or edit posts and comments which we deem undesirable, we shall not be obliged to provide any reasons for doing so.
g) Any delay (or failure) by us to take steps to ban an individual from the Forum or to remove a particular post or comment shall not be construed as an acceptance by us that those comments or posts are legitimate, valid or otherwise acceptable.
h) The Forum is a platform designed to facilitate discussion. We are in no position to attest to the truth, veracity and accuracy of the comments and posts and the assertions of fact represented therein. We are also not legally or otherwise liable for any comment or post that is (or may subsequently be determined to be) slanderous, libelous or otherwise injurious in nature.
i) You acknowledge that any information and material you enter or post will be stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, neither NSS or phpBB shall be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.
